the Leap, Eungella and Broken River
Cruise through quaint townships before the climb to Eungella, Broken River and Finch Hatton Gorge for fresh water swimming holes, year round water falls, walking tracks, amazing valley views, dawn and dusk platypus spotting, Broken River guided eco walks and four wheel drive tours. On the way to Mackay, stop off at The
Leap, locally famous for its 1886 hotel at the base of a rocky bluff where a tragic 19th century love affair inspired the bluff’s name. Good food at the hotel, walk it off with a visit to the opal and gem gallery.
